WEDDING MAKEUP

Thank you for considering me for your wedding day! Before you submit an enquiry or confirm your booking, please take a moment to review the important terms and conditions outlined below.

By booking and paying a deposit, you are agreeing to these terms, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for both of us, any questions please do ask.

WEDDING MAKEUP TERMS AND CONDITIONS

MINIMUM REQUIRMENTS

I require a minimum of the bride plus 3 others to have their makeup done on the day of the wedding.

If this changes at any time after booking then the costs must still be covered.

TRIALS

Anyone can book in for a makeup trial they are not just for the bride as some people like to see first and that is absolutely fine, this is a 1hour session held at my salon and is charged at £120 per person.

TRAVEL
Travel within 20mi round trip of CO7 will be included for free, any further will be charged at 50p per mile.

If you need me to travel to multiple locations on the wedding morning travel costs will need to be covered, please also check for any additional charges this may incur below.

TIIMINGS

I require 30mins per person, 45mins for the bride, 15mins to set up at the beginning and 30mins for touch ups at the end, I will always aim to complete touch ups 30mins before your ceremony therefore planning to complete all makeups no later than 1 hour before your ceremony time.

If you need me for any additional time on top of this then this will be charge at £30 per every 30mins.

(This is usually only the case if your hairdressers timings do not work out similar to mine or if I am required to move location, so please check over these details before booking)

BRIDESMAID ONLY BOOKING
For bridesmaid only bookings I require a minimum of 4 bridesmaids plus a surcharge of £80 and travel is not included so this must also be covered.

SUNDAY WEDDINGS
A surcharge of £80 will apply to any wedding bookings held on a Sunday this is due to being outside my working hours.

PRICING / DISCOUNTS

Unfortunately I do not offer any discounts, I am often asked if makeup is cheaper because someone may not wear much, my price will still remain the same as I still require the same time to spend on them, my pricing also covers hours that I work beyond applying makeup (cleaning brushes, preparing the night before, cleaning up after, touch ups, setting up, travel, admin, the list goes on) So please do respect my prices.

CANCELLATION FEES

If you need to cancel your wedding day booking it is no problem but unfortunately all deposits are non-refundable. Where possible please give as much notice as you can.

If you cancel less than 2 weeks before your date 100% will be due, if you cancel less than 4 weeks before your date 50% is due, any time before this you will simply just lose the deposit payment.

For trial bookings within my salon a cancellation policy also applies, if you need to re arrange / cancel less than 48 hours before a 50% charge will be applied. If you or anyone you have booked for is unable to make it on the day without giving me notice you will be charged 100% of the service booking fee.

Do you travel to my venue on the day?

Yes. See below for any additional travel charges.

Are travel charges included?

Travel is included up to a 20mile radius round trip.

Thereafter is an additional charge of 50p per mile (total distance from CO7.)

Do you have a minimum or can I book you for myself the bride only?

I do have a minimum of bride plus 3 during peak wedding season April-September.

But If you are getting married out of peak season It is best to fill in the contact form to email me & discuss your booking.

What makeup brands do you use?

My kit is huge! I use a large range of luxury makeup brands including Charlotte Tilbury, Nars, Mac, Bobbi brown, Anastasia Beverly Hills and Chanel.

The list goes on!

Do I need a trial?

Trials are not compulsory but I do recommend having one, It is not only a chance to see how your makeup will look but it will also test how well it will last and gives you the opportunity to meet me before your wedding day.

I can also help you with what treatments I would recommend having in the lead up to your day and also possibly some suggestions for products if you need to prep before or touch up throughout the day.

Where would my trial be held?

Your trial will be held at my home salon based in Colchester.

Should I create a timeline for my wedding morning?

You don't need to worry about this as I will do this for you when you come in for your trial.

To give you an idea for timings I usually block out 45mins to an hour with the bride then 30mins per person for anyone else.

I also allow 15mins at the start to set up and 30mins at the end for touch ups.

What other services do you offer?

As a fully qualified beautician I offer a wide range of beauty treatments. If you check out my treatments tab, most treatments are to help prep you for your big day including facials and brow treatments.

Do you offer airbrush makeup?

At the moment this isn't something I offer.

How soon should I consider booking you?

I currently take bookings 2 years ahead. I am usually fully booked for weekends at least 1 year ahead so as soon as you have your wedding date secured with your venue it is best to get in touch.

Can I reserve my date without a deposit?

Unfortunately I cannot reserve any dates without a deposit payment, this is due to the nature of my business and the number of enquires I receive each week.

How should I prepare for my trial?

To get the most out of your trial I always suggest my brides to be come into me for their trials with clean skin, but I do like to see a photo of yourself with how you would normally do your makeup day to day and also for a special occasion.

I also suggest creating a folder on your phone and saving any makeup photos from Pinterest / Instagram to show me when you come in. By giving me as much info as possible about your makeup can be really helpful, for example if you wear eyeliner every day you will not want to go without it on your wedding day as you wont feel yourself.

How should I prepare on my wedding morning?

To help prepare you and your skin I have written a helpful blog which you can read through on my blog section.  â€‹

Should makeup be done before hair?

Ideally yes but it is not necessary. Most hairdressers will prep your hair first, you would then have your makeup done and then go back to have your hair styled.

Will my makeup last all day?

Absolutely! If you read my lovely reviews you will notice the majority of feedback states how well my makeup lasts.

Do you work on Sundays and bank holidays?

Yes, although these days do incur an additional service charge of £80.

How do I book you for my wedding day?

You can fill out the contact form, otherwise the best way to contact me is through email (Info@leannemarie.co.uk). You can drop me a message on any of my social media platforms, but sometimes these go into a request section and aren't seen for a few days as I don't get notifications.

When contacting me please include your wedding date, location where you plan to get ready, the number needing makeup and also the time of your ceremony.

When do I need to book my wedding makeup trial?

I contact all my confirmed brides in October the year before their wedding date for example if your wedding is in 2026 you will receive an email from me in October 2025.

The email will include a link to my online booking system where you will be able to select a date and time that is convenient for you.

If you require a weekend booking I am usually only able to perform these during less busy periods being Jan - March.

Which payment methods do you accept?

Deposit payments must be paid via bank transfer.

Trial or treatments within my salon can be paid with cash or card.

Wedding day balance must be paid via bank transfer, you will receive an invoice no later than 2 weeks before your wedding.

When is the full balance of my wedding makeup due?

I will send you an invoice by email, you will receive a full breakdown on the costs (trials not included as payment for trials are due on the day you have them).

Full payment is required 2 weeks before your wedding date.

What will happen if you can't make it on my wedding morning?

In the extremely unlikely event that I am unable to make it on the day, then I will do everything possible to find you an alternative make-up artist.

I am in a private group on Facebook full of professional makeup artists where we can call upon each other when needed.

However, if this is not possible then I will give you a full refund of your  deposit/payment.
