UPDATE FOR 20TH APRIL 2020 REGARDING COVID-19 AND EVENT CANCELLATIONS
To my brides, I understand that right now is an unprecedented, uncertain and unsettling time with ever evolving information and decisions to make and I am sending a virtual hug to you all.
I would like to reassure you of my terms and conditions as I expect you may be reading this if you have already booked with me and/or paid a deposit and would like to know where you stand should you need to reschedule or cancel your bookings with me.
I haven’t changed my T’s and C’s and they are outlined clearly below but importantly, please be reassured that I will work with you to come to a resolution that works for us both.
I don’t wish to add to the inevitable stress you will be facing and so please, get in touch if you have any questions or concerns.
I have added a page of all the dates In 2020/2021/2022 that I am unavailable, so I hope this will help when/if you need to reschedule, you can find this page by clicking on the DATES button on the home page or it will also be available on my facebook page, I will keep it updated as and when new dates are taken.
If you have already paid a deposit to reserve your event date this is non-refundable but hopefully we can reschedule based on availability and any new plans you make and the deposit will simply be applied to the new date.
I will simply transfer your booking if the date permits me and do all I can to make it work.
From a practical point of view, I have always operated to the highest standards with my kit cleanliness and hygiene and I will continue to do so.
You can also be assured that I am a socially responsible person and if I do not feel well, I will do my best to make rearrangements but most importantly, I will not put my clients at any risk.
By proceeding to book by way of paying a deposit, you accept that you are entering into a contract and you agree to be bound by the conditions outlined below.
Client: the recipient of the services listed on the Services & Pricing page and name listed on the invoice.
Makeup artist: Leanne Marie Makeup & Beauty
Agreement: the contract that exists between the client and Leanne Marie Makeup & Beauty for the agreed fee.
Fee: the amount payable by the client to the makeup artist for the services listed on the Pricing page.
Event: Relates in principal to the date whereby the event or wedding takes place.
Party: Additional members of the bridal party or any other persons needing makeup on the day of the event.
SECURING THE BOOKING OF AN EVENT
A £50 deposit paid to the makeup artist will reserve your event date. This deposit is non-refundable.
Arranging a trial without payment of the deposit does not reserve the makeup artists services for the event.
The deposit will be take off the total due for the event date and does not include trial bookings.
The makeup artist requires full payment for any trials on the day the client has them.
The final balance is due in full 14 days before the event date whereby you will receive an invoice.
In this case, if numbers of clients requiring makeup services changes, the final balance will be adjusted accordingly but no later than 21 days before the event date.
If you wish to have a trial, the makeup artist will arrange a date with you any time between 6months - 6weeks before your event date, If you wish to have multiple trials may do so.
As stated above Arranging a trial without payment of the deposit does not reserve the makeup artists services for the event & payment for any trials are on the day you have them.
All trials are to be held in Leanne's salon near Colchester.
The pricing quoted at the time of the booking will be honoured and any general price changes between the time of booking and your wedding date will not affect your agreed fee for the services booked. Any travel,parking/toll/congestion charges will be added to the final balance.
Accommodation charges if applicable will be discussed and added to the final balance.
After confirmation of booking, should you wish to add more members of the bridal party, all you need to do is inform Leanne in advance so timings can be adjusted for the day and no later than 21 days before the event.
The additional cost will be recalculated in the final balance 14 days before the wedding day.
When full payment of the wedding day is received and the size the bridal party reduces on the day, this fee will be non-refundable.
However, if Leanne is informed in advance of 14 days or before, any overpayment will be refunded or the final balance payment adjusted accordingly.
Accepted methods of payment is BACS - payment information will be attach to your booking form for the deposit payment and also on your invoice for the final balance payment.
In the unfortunate event you have to cancel your booking, please inform the makeup artist as soon as possible. All cancellations will incur the following cancellation fees.
Should you wish to cancel your trial booking a 50% fee would be due if cancellation is within 48hours of your booking.
Should you wish to cancel your event booking after the £50 deposit for the booking has been made, this is non-refundable.
If the event is cancelled within 30 days, the client is liable to pay the full amount as was to be carried out in services by the artist due to the likelihood of other work not being undertaken as a result of the booking.
Cancellations by the makeup artist due to circumstances including, but not limited to, problems affecting the makeup artists performance of their obligations where no other suitable alternative can be arranged, a full refund of the deposit will be given to the client.
No further compensation will be offered.
If the booking is directly affected by circumstances beyond the control of the makeup artist including but not limited to weather conditions, safety reasons, where possible the makeup artist will endeavour to rectify such situations, however, no compensation will be offered on the makeup artist part.
It is advisable for the client to take out wedding or event insurance to cover you against these situations.
REASON FOR THE DEPOSIT BEING NON-REFUNDABLE
The reason being that a small non-refundable deposit is paid is to firstly reserve your chosen date/time for you so no other booking can be made for the agreed time.
It is also to cover the time spent emailing and giving any help or advise you may need.
SOCIAL MEDIA & PHOTOGRAPHY
The make-up artist will always check verbally if the client is happy for the make-up artist to post a photo on the wedding day onto social media platforms.
The make-up artist will never post a photo before the event has started to avoid spoiling any surprises for guests of the event.
Unless otherwise specified by the client any digital photos taken at the trial or on the wedding day may be added to Leanne Marie’s website and/or social media.
If a professional photographer is present, the makeup artist may ask permission to obtain any images to be used for the website.
PRODUCTS AND RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CLIENT
Prior to the trial, it is the responsibility of the client to inform the makeup artist of any known skin sensitivity to products or concerns that may affect the use of any equipment or products; all details are treated as confidential.
This includes but is not limited to sensitivities, allergies and medical conditions.
Where possible, the makeup artist will choose products that should suit your skin type according to the information provided.
Everyone’s skin is different and it’s possible to be allergic to anything.
The products selected and agreed upon during the trial will be the products that will be used on the day of your wedding.
The makeup artist is not liable for any adverse reactions to products used and cannot be held liable for any losses that are incurred due to adverse reactions to products used. If the client or party requires a patch test for any products, this can be arranged and charged according to the agreed fee.
